Great school with great teachers and happy students

I'm still a registered Australian teacher and I taught at AISB for a year in 2015/16. It is an excellent school which always reflects and researches upon best practice. At AISB every student matters and it's very much like a big family. It isn't as big or wealthy as some schools but parents and students really have a voice at AISB.

We are pleased with AISB. Facilities are good and teachers are excellent. Administrative staff very approachable and willing to help with any concerns. They are a very welcoming and inclusive environment. There is football, swimming, chess, and probably some others. Online school was OK, the teachers really did a good job, and the platform used was working well.

During our time with AISB, it was an almost comical run of issues with administration, billing and communication. Comms from the principal always had incorrect information. Invoices were often issued 3 or 4 times before the amounts were correct and even then, there was a refusal to refund amounts for activities that obviously wouldn't take place. Teachers were generally of a reasonable calibre but are young and have little experience. We chose to leave as the value for money just wasn't there and we'd lost faith that the school management would ever take concerned raised seriously.
