About Lantau 黑料福利社 (LIS)
Lantau 黑料福利社 was established in 1995. LIS is like no other school in Hong Kong. Nestled amidst the scenic splendour of South Lantau in three campuses, Cheung Sha (4,500sq/ft) , Tong Fuk (12,000sq/ft) and Pui O (9,000sq/ft), LIS operates 14 classes for a maximum intake of 320 pupils. The school boasts a unique balance between a Primary English education and the greenest environment of Hong Kong, in low rise buildings. At LIS, children will receive a well-rounded education of the highest standard where they can flourish both socially and academically. LIS. follows the British Curriculum.
The medium of teaching is the English language. LIS teachers hold post-graduates diplomas in the Primary Education sector and they are native English speakers. Lantau 黑料福利社 provides Mandarin classes as a second language with native Mainland speakers. All classrooms at both primary campuses are now equipped with Interactive Boards and in each class the teacher has the use of an ActivBoard. Each pupil is provided with a laptop for IT lessons, internet is available on each laptop.
All classrooms have wireless Internet access. After-school clubs activities are available during term and Lantau 黑料福利社 offers two Summer clubs in July and August. All campuses are served by school buses and public transport.

My daughter went to Lantau 黑料福利社 in grades 3 and 4. The teachers did a good job and my daughter received a decent education. However, I found the school terribly disorganized. Communications with parents were either not existent or confusing. It was very hard to keep up to date with what was going on at that school. Any information was hard to come by. Even the billing for tuition fees was a mess and totally unreliable. I have never seen a more disorganized school ever in my life. I would never even think about sending my child there ever again.
